
Women’s Role in Turbat University’s Growth is Commendable, Says Vice Chancellor
Turbat: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Vice Chancellor of Turbat University, Professor Dr. Gul Hassan, acknowledged the significant contributions of female faculty members and students to the university’s rapid progress. He emphasized that no society can achieve educational, political, economic, and social development without the active participation of women, as they are a strong and essential pillar of society.
Dr. Gul Hassan highlighted the university’s commitment to ensuring gender equality and empowering women. He stated that female faculty members and students at Turbat University enjoy equal rights and facilities, and ongoing projects aim to further enhance these opportunities. He also expressed pride in the recent achievement of two female faculty members who have completed their Ph.D. degrees, marking a remarkable advancement for women in the academic and research fields.
Turbat University is dedicated to promoting quality education, a reading culture, and research activities in the region. The university is also focused on equipping female faculty members and students with modern technology and digital skills, enabling them to effectively tackle contemporary challenges.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed his satisfaction that female students make up more than 40% of the university’s student body and are benefiting equally from educational resources. He noted that students from Turbat University have been excelling not only in public service commission exams but also in various national and provincial-level competitive examinations.
Dr. Gul Hassan stressed the importance of integrating women into modern technological advancements to help shape their future and contribute to the progress of Turbat University, the province, and the country. Despite financial challenges, he affirmed that the university’s faculty and administration remain committed to fostering a supportive educational environment for all students.
Additionally, he announced plans to strengthen all departments, including the Directorate of Student Affairs. Under this initiative, students—both male and female—will be given equal opportunities to participate in national-level academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities in the 2025 academic year, enabling them to showcase their talents.
