
President of Pakistan Appoints Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar as Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court
Islamabad: The President of Pakistan has appointed Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar as the Acting Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court under Article 196 of the Constitution. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, he will assume his responsibilities after taking the oath and will serve in this capacity until the appointment of a permanent Chief Justice.
The appointment has been made in accordance with legal requirements and will take effect immediately after the oath-taking. The relevant institutions, including the President and Prime Minister’s Secretariats, the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, the Supreme Court, and the Registrar of the Islamabad High Court, have been notified of this decision.
Justice Sarfraz Dogar is an experienced judge, and his appointment is being regarded as a significant development in judicial circles. Legal experts believe that under his leadership, the proceedings of the Islamabad High Court will continue more efficiently.
