Pakistan Renames Ministry of Interior, Merges Anti-Narcotics Division

Ministry of Interior Renamed as Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control

Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has officially renamed the Ministry of Interior into the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control. As part of this structural change, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Division has also been merged into the ministry.

According to an official notification, all future correspondence will now use the new name, Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, instead of the previous title. The notification also confirms the formal integration of the ANF Division into the ministry.

Following this announcement, the ministry’s official website has been updated to reflect the new name. The redesigned logo incorporates key national landmarks, including Mazar-e-Quaid, Minar-e-Pakistan, Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, and the Princess of Hope rock formation in Balochistan, along with a touch of greenery.

This change signifies the government’s commitment to strengthening narcotics control efforts under the Ministry of Interior’s administration.
