Mohammad Daud Kalmati Assigned Additional Charge as Chairman of Gwadar Port Authority

Mohammad Daud Kalmati Assigned Additional Charge as Chairman of Gwadar Port Authority

Islamabad: The Ministry of Maritime Affairs has assigned the additional charge of Chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) to Mohammad Daud Kalmati. He is the only local officer to be entrusted with this responsibility. Currently, he serves as the Director General (Planning & Development) at the Gwadar Port Authority.

According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Mohammad Daud Kalmati will assume the additional responsibilities of Chairman effective from January 30, 2025, until further notice.

This appointment comes at a time when Gwadar Port is emerging as a key hub for regional trade activities. Mohammad Daud Kalmati brings extensive experience in development projects, which could contribute significantly to the growth of Gwadar Port.

It is worth mentioning that his predecessor, Pasand Khan Buledi, also played a crucial role in the development of Gwadar Port during his tenure as Chairman.
