Khuzdar: Immediate Action Against Sindh’s Claim Over Dhaddaro

The Khuzdar district administration has taken swift action following an attempt by the Sindh government to claim Dhaddaro, a region in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan. In response, the Levies Force has been deployed, and a permanent check post has been established to reaffirm Balochistan’s territorial rights.

Sindh’s Attempt to Annex Dhaddaro

Recently, the Sindh government’s Cultural Heritage (Protection) Department issued a notification declaring the mountainous region of Dhaddaro (also known as “Kutte Ki Qabar“) as part of Sindh. This move is not the first of its kind; a similar attempt was made in 2018 but was successfully thwarted by the then Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar, Suhail Rehman Baloch.

This time, the current Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar, Yasir Iqbal Dashti, has taken immediate measures to counter Sindh’s claim. The Levies Force was swiftly dispatched to Dhaddaro, where a check post was set up, and the national flag of Pakistan was hoisted, symbolizing Balochistan’s unwavering ownership of its land.

Balochistan’s Firm Stance on Territorial Integrity

The Khuzdar district administration has made it clear that every inch of Balochistan’s land will be protected. No unauthorized claim or notification will be accepted. The Secretary of Tourism, Balochistan, had previously written to the Sindh government, urging them to withdraw their notification and refrain from making unfounded territorial claims.

Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar officially informed the Senior Board of Revenue about the situation. Following this, the district administration took decisive action by deploying security forces and ensuring Balochistan’s sovereignty over the disputed land.
