Gunmen Attack Ustad Arif Baloch’s Residence in Turbat

Turbat: The residence of renowned Balochi musician Ustad Arif Baloch in Koskhalat came under attack when unidentified armed individuals opened fire at its gate before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, Ustad Arif was not present during the incident.

Confirming the attack, Ustad Arif Baloch stated: “that after the Isha prayer, armed men arrived in a vehicle and, without any warning, fired at his residence before escaping”.

According to local sources, the attackers appeared to be under the influence of drugs. They reportedly hurled verbal abuses outside the house before opening fire, causing panic among the neighborhood residents.

Ustad Arif Baloch has been a towering figure in Balochi music for several years. His work is highly regarded not only in Balochistan but also in Iranian Balochistan, Gulf countries, and among Baloch communities worldwide.

From the early days of his career to the present, Ustad Arif has maintained his immense popularity among listeners, a testament to his exceptional talent and contribution to Balochi music.
