
Gwadar/Karachi, Pakistan – A high-level delegation, led by Director General Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Shafaq Anwar Shahwani, visited NED University Karachi, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two institutions.
Under this agreement, NED University will provide technical and engineering support to GDA in several key areas, including:
- Capacity-building training for GDA officials
- Community consultations for sustainable urban planning
- Engineering reviews of Gwadar’s infrastructure projects
- Preservation and effective use of historical heritage buildings
- Development of Shahi Bazar and model villages
Dr. Nauman, Dean of NED University, Registrar Syed Ghazanfar Hussain, and other faculty members attended the signing ceremony.
This historic agreement reflects GDA’s commitment to modernizing Gwadar’s development by integrating academic expertise with urban planning and infrastructure projects. It is a significant step toward building Gwadar’s future on a sustainable and well-planned foundation.
