Balochistan Bar Associations Announce Strike Against Illegal Detention of Asma Baloch

Hub: February 7, 2025 – The Bar Associations of Hub, Balochistan, Turbat, and Gwadar have jointly announced a strike on February 8, 2025, in protest against the illegal detention of Asma Baloch, a Baloch woman from Khuzdar.

The legal community strongly condemned this unlawful act and demanded her immediate release. They have emphasized that violations of fundamental rights and the rule of law cannot be tolerated.

United Legal Protest for Justice

The Hub Bar Association was the first to declare the strike, followed by the Balochistan, Turbat, and Gwadar Bar Associations, in a show of unity against human rights violations.

In a joint statement, representatives from all four associations warned that if justice is not served, they will intensify their protests.

Commitment to Human Rights & Legal Integrity

The Bar Associations reaffirmed their commitment to defending human rights, stating:

“We will not remain silent against enforced disappearances and unlawful detentions. Violations of fundamental rights must be stopped, and justice must prevail.”

The legal community has called on authorities to take immediate action to address the situation, warning that further inaction may lead to wider protests and legal action.
