National Bank Robbery in Uthal – Armed Men Escape with 400 Million Rupees

Uthal: In a shocking daylight heist, armed robbers stormed a National Bank branch in Uthal, held the staff hostage, and made off with 400 million rupees in cash.

According to police reports, an exchange of gunfire took place between law enforcement and the robbers during the incident, resulting in the injury of a police officer.

SHO Uthal, Yar Muhammad Commando, also sustained bullet wounds and was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital Uthal. Doctors have confirmed that his condition is stable despite being hit twice—once in the leg and another near the arm.

Authorities have closed the area and launched a search operation to track the perpetrators. Preliminary investigations suggest that the robbery was meticulously planned, allowing the culprits to escape successfully. Further inquiries are ongoing.
