UoT Vice-Chancellor Reaffirms Commitment to Academic and Administrative Excellence
Turbat: The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Turbat (UoT), Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring efficient administration and academic excellence at the university. He emphasized that maintaining high standards in academic and administrative affairs remains a top priority.
Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan expressed these views while presiding over the second meeting of the University of Turbat Quality Circle (UTQC), held in the university’s video conference room. The UTQC serves as a platform for reviewing ongoing quality enhancement initiatives and strategizing further improvements in academic standards, administrative efficiency, and institutional development.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the progress of institutional quality enhancement initiatives and reiterated their commitment to continuous improvement. The Vice-Chancellor stressed the importance of implementing quality assurance measures, including the Institutional Performance and Enhancement Review (RIPE), Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE), and Self-Assessment Reports (SAR). He urged stakeholders to focus on improvements rather than magnifying shortcomings and emphasized the need for continued collaboration to strengthen the university’s academic and administrative framework.
The meeting also included the formal endorsement of the minutes from the first UTQC meeting, a review of the action-taken report, and discussions on the implementation of the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Revamped Quality Assurance Framework.
Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), provided updates on RIPE and PREE, outlining clear milestones for SAR, accreditation renewals, and institutional effectiveness measures. The Vice-Chancellor commended the QEC for its proactive role and reiterated UoT’s dedication to sustained monitoring, accountability, and stakeholder engagement to uphold national quality assurance standards.
He also expressed his gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions and suggestions aimed at enhancing institutional effectiveness and the university’s overall progress.
