Engineer Yusuf Shah Khan Takes Charge as QESCO’s New CEO

Quetta: The Board of Directors of Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) has appointed Engineer Yusuf Shah Khan as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He has officially assumed his new responsibilities.

Before leading QESCO, Yusuf Shah Khan served as the Chief Engineer (Technical) at the company. He has also worked with the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and various other power distribution companies (DISCOs) across the country.

With more than 30 years of experience in the power sector, Engineer Yusuf Shah Khan holds a degree in Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi (1990). He began his career in 1991 as an engineer at WAPDA. Throughout his tenure, he has represented various DISCOs in national and international workshops and has served in multiple districts of Balochistan.

Upon taking charge, Yusuf Shah Khan expressed his honor in leading QESCO, a company with a strong legacy. He emphasized his commitment to ensuring an uninterrupted power supply to all consumers in Balochistan.

He also outlined his plans to enhance QESCO’s performance, implement modern technology, improve customer services, increase revenue collection, and reduce administrative, technical, and commercial losses.

Previously, Engineer Shafqat Ali served as QESCO’s CEO until his retirement on February 10, 2025. Following his departure, Yusuf Shah Khan officially took over as the new Chief Executive Officer.

With his vast experience and strategic vision, QESCO’s new CEO aims to bring innovation and efficiency to the power distribution system, ensuring a brighter and more reliable future for consumers across Balochistan.
