
GDA Distributes 100 Dustbins to Enhance Cleanliness on Demi Zar Service Road in Gwadar
Gwadar: In an effort to improve sanitation and waste management, the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has handed over 100 dustbins to the Gwadar Municipality for placement along Demi Zir Service Road. This initiative aims to maintain cleanliness and prevent drainage blockages in the area.
A formal handover ceremony was conducted in the presence of MPA Gwadar, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch, and Director General GDA, Shafqat Anwar Shahwani. During the event, GDA’s Chief Engineer, Syed Baloch, officially presented the dustbins to the Vice Chairman of the Municipal Committee Gwadar, Majid Johar. Also attending the ceremony were Councillor Akram Fida and other GDA officials.
Following the handover, the Gwadar Municipality promptly initiated the process of placing the dustbins along the service road. Residents and pedestrians are urged to utilize these dustbins properly to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment.
Vice Chairman Majid Johar emphasized the importance of responsible waste disposal. He urged the local community to dispose of their garbage in the designated dustbins to prevent littering and drainage blockages. This step will facilitate waste collection efforts by municipal authorities and contribute to maintaining a hygienic public space.
With this initiative, the GDA and Gwadar Municipality reaffirm their commitment to improving the city’s sanitation infrastructure and promoting environmental sustainability. The placement of the dustbins is expected to be completed soon, significantly enhancing waste management in the area.
