Completion Ceremony of Sahih al-Bukhari Held at Jamia Al-Uloom Al-Islamia
Gwadar: A grand ceremony marking the completion of Sahih al-Bukhari was held at Jamia Al-Uloom Al-Islamia in Kohbun Ward, Gwadar. The event featured the Dastarbandi (turban-awarding) of three scholars and nine Huffaz (memorizers of the Quran). Scholars and students delivered speeches and recited poetry, while a large number of religious scholars, students, community elders, and individuals from various walks of life attended the event.
The hadith was presented by Maulana Shakirullah, while the Dastarbandi was performed by renowned scholars, including Maulana Abdullah Tauheedfar, Maulana Abdul Hameed Inqilabi, Maulana Shakirullah, Maulana Riaz Ahmed, and others.
During their speeches, the scholars emphasized that on the Day of Judgment, deeds and words will be weighed, and true success will belong to those whose good deeds outweigh their bad ones. They urged the audience to remain steadfast on the path of truth, seek guidance from the Quran and Sunnah, and ensure justice in all matters, including granting inheritance rights to women.
They also quoted a hadith stating that whoever’s last words are “La ilaha illallah” (There is no god but Allah) will achieve success. The scholars highlighted the significance of mosques and madrasas as the fortresses of Islam, emphasizing their role in spreading the message of Islam worldwide. They noted that many non-Muslims are embracing Islam due to the efforts of religious institutions and the message of peace, sincerity, and tolerance in Islam.
At the end of the ceremony, awards were distributed among the graduates, and Maulana Nazir Ahmed performed the duties of stage secretary. The event concluded with a special supplication by Maulana Abdullah Tauheedfar.
The head of Jamia Al-Uloom Al-Islamia, Maulana Riaz Ahmed, expressed his gratitude to all the scholars, students, and attendees for participating in this blessed gathering.
